Mornings set the tone for the entire day. Now that I am not going to my 9-to-5 job anymore, my morning routine has been foundational to helping me stay productive during this season of transition. Gear Up for Success: Starting the Day in Workout Clothes
When the alarm goes off, the first decision has to be made, what do you put on? If you put on regular clothes, it makes it that much easier to not work out. If you put on workout clothes, you're signaling your body and mind that you're ready to move and conquer the day.
Brewing Bliss: Crafting the Perfect Cup of Coffee
There's something soothing about that first sip of coffee in the morning. Create your own coffee haven by investing in a reliable french press coffee maker like this one. We love our french press, and while I’m waiting four minutes for the coffee to brew, I will take that time to empty the dishwasher (it rarely takes more than four minutes!) Once it’s ready, we like to add some collagen and mct oil and mix it with an immersion blender. Some days I add a dash of cinnamon and some liquid stevia. Whether you savor a black cup of joe or enjoy a soothing latte, the aroma and flavor will awaken your senses, preparing you to seize the day ahead.

With my coffee in hand, I retreat to our living room and open my YouVersion Bible App. This year, I’m reading through the Bible chronologically with a plan on the app. Using the app’s daily verse of the day and guided prayer has kept me consistently in the Word to start my day. I try not to open any other apps before I open the Bible app. I encourage you to nourish your soul by dedicating time to read your Bible in the quiet hours of the morning. Let the wisdom and teachings guide your thoughts and begin your prayer conversation that you will keep going throughout the day.

Sparkling Start: Effortless Kitchen Cleanup to Set the Tone
A cluttered space can cloud the mind. After you finish your morning coffee and scripture reading, take a few moments to swiftly tidy up the kitchen. Empty the dishwasher, reload with breakfast dishes, clean off the counters and you're ready to move on (pun intended).
Move Your Body: Intentional Movement for the Win
You already have on your workout clothes, so now is the best time to get that workout in. If time is an issue, just set a timer for five minutes. If at the end of five minutes, you really have to move on, at least you got started. Most of the time, once you’ve started your workout, you’ll finish it, even if just to save the hassle of changing back into workout clothes later. Next comes a quick shower, and you are ready to tackle the day!
